Meet the Mayer Team
Matt Mayer ®
Matt is co-owner & Broker of NextHome Heritage with his wife Sarah. He is a native Vermonter who prides himself on following through and practicing the Golden Rule. Matt’s interest in real estate started at an early age as he grew up working in the family property rental business in Chittenden County. Matt continues to invest in Burlington property rentals and is no stranger to getting his hands dirty in a renovation project or two. Originally from Shelburne, Matt now lives in Williston with his wife Sarah and son Nathaniel. As well as their two golden retrievers, Scarlet and Sage.
Matt, a Champlain Valley Union HS graduate, received his Associates Degree in Business Management from Champlain College in 2002 and Bachelor’s Degree from Johnson State College in 2004. He has a solid background in sales and customer service and an enthusiasm for real estate. He looks forward to sharing his knowledge and passion for the Greater Burlington Real Estate Market with his clients.
Sarah Mayer ®
Sarah Mayer, also a native Vermonter and co-owner of NextHome Heritage. She brings a wealth of knowledge about buying and selling Vermont Real Estate to the team. Raised in Charlotte, Vermont, Sarah has a solid understanding of the communities in the Greater Burlington Area. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in art with an emphasis in graphic design, professional educational training, and a teaching licensure. She brings her creative problem solving, expertise in technology, knowledge of the communities, and interpersonal skills to the team. She especially enjoys working and listening to our buyer clients needs and matching them with their perfect home.
Scarlet is our top retrieving dog agent. She is Matt’s assistant and car ride companion. When off duty, she loves the great indoors and a life of leisure. She is a Crangold AKC champion as well as the champion of our hearts.
Sage is Scarlet’s half-sister and best friend. She loves the great outdoors and to be on the go. She brings an energy to the team and is up early every morning looking for new properties, preferably with house cats.
